Hoi
An
This ancient town, situated on left bank of the Thu Bon River,
is a riverine town 30km South of Danang. The town became known for
excellent quality bamboo curtains and rattan. Many new looms were
built, some became electrically operated. Today Hoi An is an ideal
place for getting away from the crowded streets of Danang. The Chinese
who came here in the 17th century left behind some interesting assembly
halls, congregation halls and merchant houses together with one
of the quaintest temples in Hoi An.
